The Vacaville Chamber of Commerce’s Festival In The Park, September 8th & 9th

The Vacaville Chamber of Commerce presents its first annual ‘Festival in the Park’ September 8th and 9th at Peña Adobe Park.  The event will take place both days from 11am to 8pm. The historic Peña Adobe Park is located in Vacaville just off Interstate 80 at Peña Adobe Road (to the left of the Lagoon Valley Regional Park entrance).  The Peña Adobe Historical Society will offer docent led tours from 11am to 1pm of the Peña Adobe, built in 1842, the adobe is the oldest refurbished building in Solano County.  Volunteers will also conduct tours of the Mowers-Goheen Museum.

The weekend will be full of activities and entertainment!  Children ages 2 and older can take park in a Kids’ Zone area and entertainment is scheduled on two stages for both days.  Visitors are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to sit on.  Admission to the festival is free. Pets are not allowed. Plenty of food and drink options will be available.  There will be fun for the whole family!
