Pena Adobe Park was the setting for a Science in the Park (SiP) event on Saturday morning, March 29.  The program, sponsored by Vacaville’s Community Services Department, offered young and old the opportunity to learn about native plants and how they were used by the local indigenous inhabitants. 

City staff and indigenous plant experts from the Pena Adobe Historical Society guided visitors on a leisurely and informative walk through local plant life surrounding the adobe.  The three hour program drew nearly 80 interested individuals.  The SiP program is one of many events taking place at Pena Adobe throughout the year.
